I guess the best way to describe this blog is to describe me. I write what’s on my mind, what’s in my day, and what’s on my plate. So, I guess the content you’ll read is me – “Jai” and the life that I live – “la vie.” With a touch of my French, I created Jai La Vie to chronicle the happenings of my life and the recipes that I bring to my table for myself and my husband.
I’m a Francophile and a synesthete. I love food, wine, travel, and photography – all of which are in some way incorporated into this blog.
I’m a mac n cheese maven and coffee aficionado. I have Pinterest boards dedicated to both. Dining out is my favorite thing in the world (well, next to traveling the world) and I created a Google map of my never-ending NYC food tour.
Living outside of NYC
I’m a country girl and Big Apple advocate. I’m proud to be born and raised in rural New Jersey (in between three farms), attended college in the suburbs, and now live within view of the New York City skyline. I love New York and all the culture, excitement, and local eats it has to offer.
I am a bit obsessed with travel, and I love share my latest adventures, tips, and itineraries for my latest trips. For this I have a separate publication which I invite everyone to visit! Check out traverpolis.com to see my lates travels.
I photograph with my Canon Rebel T3i, as well as my iPhone 6s for quick shots.
Check out my amateur photography portfolio on Flickr.
I love sharing my latest recipes, facts, and finds on this blog and it is completely free for readers. All opinions are completely my own, and if any post is sponsored in any way, it will be indicated on the posts. I will never promote anything I do not like or support. I do, however, get a small commission for some links or ads on this site.
